About La Pashe

About La Pashe

The story so far.......

La Pashe was formed from an idea between a designer, an artist and a craft shop owner. Their plans were to produce decoupage that had never been seen before. A lot of meetings took part, drawings and designs tried and tested until one image stood out. It was to be the mining scene from Remember When...

Remember When...series 1,2,3,4 & two Christmas series were produced over time and released on Create & Craft/Ideal World TV show in Mid-September 2008. This proved to be a popular collection with card-makers looking for something different. Next up was series 5 & 6, our specialist Transport selection and a brand new 3-D decoupage concept called Flippin' Men, which would prove to be one of the biggest hits of 2009! Flippin' Women, Kids & Teenagers followed, along with a seasonal Christmas collection which was the first to feature background sheets in August 2009.

2010 will see the release of Flippin' Men & Women in A4 & A5 with backgrounds, rubber stamps and TWO never-seen-before new concepts, Framin' Cards, the beautiful new decoupage collection & Craftrak, a handmade card trading system which allows cardmakers to send and track their cards all over the world, and automatically receive a card in return for every one they send. The Designer and the Artist: "The Dream Team"

  • Jak Heath: Our own 'Celebrity' Designer, Jak, enjoys being 'Ganny' to her new Grandson Jack and updating her very popular crafting blog giving inspiration to others.  Jak is a '24' hour crafter who loves nothing better than a challenging task. Just a touch, a smell, a sight and it creates a overwhelming urge for her make a card. Her favourite crafting technique is Stamping. An integral part of La Pashe since its creation, Jak uses all of her resources and creativity to make sure La Pashe products are the best they can be. You can see her on any of our Create & Craft & Ideal World TV shows. Jak doesn't have a favourite La Pashe image, as it changes with each new series we do!  You can visit her blog at www.jakheath.com
  • Jim Harker: Our brilliant Artist, Jim, enjoys cycling, photography, steam trains and taking his dog Scamp for walkies! After graduating Art College in Leeds in 1970 he has worked in Japan, America, Sweden, Holland and France and returned to his native North-East in 1999, Jim works as a freelance Artist. He joined La Pashe in its earliest form (being a very close family friend of our owner). His love for history and all things mechanical along with a fantastic eye for detail can be seen throughout his artwork with La Pashe. Jim's favourite image is the fireplace scene from our backing sheet for Flippin' Xmas Bath.
  • Jak and Jim have a fantastic working relationship. They exchange their views and ideas with the other and are each others daily inspiration. They can also be likened to great comedy double acts, the likes of Laurel & Hardy & Morecambe & Wise. Both hugely talented and great personalities alike make up the La Pashe 'Dream Team'

What we do, and how we do it

From Pencil Tip to Product: Using our very talented team, we draw, design and create all of our own products. Starting with ideas from the famous 'War-room' at La Pashe, we then sketch out our plans and decide on the best images. Full drawings are completed and passed to our designer. The images are scanned and edited for the best quality finish. The finished images are then sent to our printers who then return the finished article.
