Meet the 2014 Design Team!

Posted by in La Pashe News, The Design Team on February 11, 2014 . 1 Comments.

Click here to meet our fabulous Design Team for 2014! These ladies have been kind enough to share their creative creations with us on our blog and our website. Some have been with us for years, and some are brand-new to our DT (asterisk denotes a new member for 2014).

We are so proud to have them all on board to showcase our products in action and fill our blog with exciting new ideas and inspiration.

So now (in alphabetical order, because that's how the computer sorts the pictures hehe) our crafy crew, the Design Team!

Dawn Lancaster

Hi, I'm Dawn. I am a frustrated artist who can't draw but I do love to craft, always have since I was a little girl! I live in Scotland with my lovely husband who puts up with my crafty bits & pieces all over the house & always asks before he throws anything away! I also have two rescue cats who love to help me craft! As well as crafting, I love holidays, good food & spending time with family & friends.

I’m Elaine and I live in Fleetwood, Lancashire (near Blackpool for those who have never heard of it). I live with my partner, Paul and our cat, Rocco! I have a daughter, Julia and a grandson, Euan. I am currently out of work, having been made redundant in 2012. I have been making cards for around eight years and thoroughly enjoy it, I also dabble in jewellery making.I started making cards during a period of sick leave and I now have more time than ever to craft following my redundancy. This year I am determined to teach myself to crochet, my grandmother having failed to teach me when I was a child!! I am thrilled to be part of the Design Team and am looking forward to sharing my projects with you.

Gaynor Greaves

Hi my name is Gaynor Greaves. I have been crafting 6 years with cards and longer with other crafts, I cross stitch, knit, crochet and I love to make my own clay embellishments and fancy pins. I love my crafting buddies - we learn from each other and give each other inspiration and support. I love to craft and try to create everyday, my craft room is my sanctuary and my favourite place to be.

I’ve been a crafter all my life. My mother was a very prolific knitter and her mother loved embroidery and crochet, and both passed their skills on to me while I was still at primary school. Over the years I dabbled in other crafts too – machine knitting, glass painting, encaustic art and cross stitch, until one day a parcel of card blanks I’d bought for cross stitch greetings cards contained a free sample copy of a papercrafts magazine. That was about 15 years ago and I was hooked immediately. All my other crafting interests have been set aside in favour of cutting, sticking, glittering and stamping. I’m now a grandmother and my granddaughters are following in the family footsteps. My blog shows off some of my creations, and is shared with my other passion – food!

Karen Liddle

'Hi I'm Karen (pronounced Keren), wife to one, and mother to 3 (one of them is a cat.....) and I love crafting. I've been crafting in one way or another since I was about 7 when my brother in law taught me to knit, which I still do but he doesn't ..... lol. I also like to find time for cross stitching, crochet, dress making, and of course card making which I admit now takes up most of my free time.

I have also had my own little business, making and decorating wedding cakes. I started this when my children were small and I was unable to go out to work, so working from home was perfect. I only stopped this a few years ago when my children got older and more independent and when I also decided I wanted to go back out to work. I'm lucky enough to work in a craft shop, every crafters dream job!'

I have been married for 40 years to a very patient man. I have five children and six grandchildren. I am from Cape Town (South Africa) and relocated to England a while ago but go back every Christmas for a month or so to visit family and friends and to get some sunshine. It was when I made my daughter's wedding invitations that I became hooked on card making. I also do some beadwork and quilting. I feel very honoured to be part of the La Pashe Team as I absolutely love their cd's, the artwork is second to none and I use them frequently.
